Colin Wood, Operations Manager said: “It is great to have retained our 5-Star status in what was another positive set of results for the industry as a whole. Over 90% of respondents said that they would ‘recommend their builder to a friend’ and we were delighted to see Malcolm Allan Housebuilders surpass this average once again with ‘100% of our customers responding to say they would recommend us to a friend’.

“Delivering 5-Star status for Malcolm Allan Housebuilders in a real team effort and the award recognises that hard work. The team’s dedication to excellence and customer service really is second to none! We would also like to thank our customers who participated in the survey for their support - we couldn’t achieve this without you.”

The HBF Star Rating is an award scheme for home builders, which recognises excellence in customer satisfaction. Each year the Home Builders Federation (HBF) awards a Star Rating of between one and a maximum of five stars based on homeowners’ feedback collected via the National New Homes Survey carried out by the National House-Building Council (NHBC).

Strict conditions have to be met to qualify for a five-star rating. The scale of the survey, believed to be one of the most comprehensive continuous industry research exercises in the country, ensures that its results provide a robust and accurate representation of builder performance.
