The scheme, previously only available to UK home builders, has been extended to Scotland with Malcolm Allan achieving a five-star rating at the first time of asking.

Each year the Home Builders Federation (HBF) awards a Star Rating of between one and a maximum of five stars based on homeowners’ feedback collected via the National New Homes Survey carried out by the National House-Building Council (NHBC).

Malcolm Allan Housebuilders is the only Aberdeenshire-based developer to achieve a five-star rating.

Strict conditions have to be met to qualify for a five-star rating. The scale of the survey, believed to be one of the most comprehensive continuous industry research exercises in the country, ensures that its results provide a robust and accurate representation of builder performance.
